Registration and participation at all FC Wisconsin Nationals, FC Wisconsin and FC Wisconsin Eclipse tyouts is FREE OF CHARGE!

FC Wisconsin Nationals
 
The FC Wisconsin Nationals soccer program is distinguished by its developmentally progressive coach to player ratios and curriculum geared toward accelerating development and helping players reach their greatest potential faster. FC Wisconsin Nationals also provides Wisconsin’s only access to the nation’s most elite league for boys, the United States Soccer Developmental Academy in addition to the next highest available league in the nation, US Club Soccer’s National Premier League/Midwest Developmental League.
 
 

Team Offerings- 
 

 

 

U13/14 USSDA:

 

Year round elite level club soccer for boys born between Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 1999 and elite players born in 2000. This team will compete in the United States Soccer Development Academy.

 
 

Highly ambitious players seeking regular exposure to US National Team scouts and preparing for the college recruitment process beginning at U15/U16 level are encouraged to forego freshman year high school soccer to participate in this developmentally focused, highly competitive. Multi-sport athletes serious about soccer are also encouraged to tryout.

 

FC Wisconsin Nationals is the only club in the State of Wisconsin providing USSDA access at any age level.
 

U13 NPL/MDL Boys:

 

Comprised of players born between Jan. 1st and Dec. 31st, 2000, and elite players born in 2001. This team will compete in the US Club Soccer National Premier League/ Midwest Developmental League.

 

U14 NPL/MDL Boys:

 

Comprised of players born between Jan. 1st and Dec. 31st, 1999. This team will compete in the US Club Soccer National Premier League/ Midwest Developmental League.

 

U15/16 USSDA:

Comprised of players born between Jan. 1st and Dec. 31st, 1995 and elite players born in 1996. This team will compete in the US Club Soccer National Premier League/ Midwest Developmental League.

FC Wisconsin will provide a developmentally focused environment and league competition that matches individual player abilities to appropriate teams and leagues.
Should young players one day aspire to play for US Youth and Full National Teams, Professionally, or in college, FC Wisconsin Youth Developmental players also benefit from the State of Wisconsin’s most direct pathway to achieving such ambitious aspirations.
 
 

Team Offerings-
 

U11-U14 USYS/WYSA Boys and Girls:
 

FC Wisconsin 1st, 2nd  and 3rd teams ages U10 when merited and U11-U12 will participate in state leagues  and tournaments

appropriate for their level of competitiveness. Travel is minimal at these age groups.

 

FC Wisconsin 1st (girls), 2nd and 3rd teams ages U13-U14 will participate in state/regional leagues and tournaments

appropriate for their level of competitiveness. Travel is minimal at this level.



  • Girls' players opting not to play in the ECNL will play for FC Wisconsin 1st teams.
  • Boys' first teams will play for FC Wiscosin Nationals in the NPL/MDL.

 

U15-U18 USYS Boys and Girls:

 

FC Wisconsin 1st (girls), 2nd and 3rd teams  ages U15-U18 will participate in state/regional leagues and tournaments appropriate for their level of competitiveness. Travel will be appropriate to the competitive level of the team.

FC Wisconsin Eclipse is the only Elite Clubs National League program in Wisconsin, and is designed to help aspiring young female soccer players maximize their potential and play at the highest possible levels in youth and college soccer.  FC Wisconsin Eclipse is one of the most innovative and developmentally-focused programs in the country, with coaches that have played and coached at the highest level of women’s soccer in the world, and that work with US Soccer Youth National Teams.”  

“FC Wisconsin Eclipse programming begins at U13.  The developmental philosophy of the program is based on the maxim “if you are good enough, you are old enough.”  As such, younger players with ambition are encouraged to try-out for the U13 age group.  FC Wisconsin Eclipse teams compete in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL), the highest level of girls youth soccer in the country.”

Try-out FAQs

 

What should I do if I have a scheduling conflict that prevents me from attending one or more of the try-outs or USSDA Open House/trial sessions?

 

U11-U18 boys and girls players unable to attend one, or any tryout dates due to scheduling conflicts, who have either played with the club or would like to play with the club for the first time, should email tryout coordinator, Chris McCreary at chris.mccreary@fcmilwaukee.org  with questions, or to make arrangments for alternative tryout date, after the week of June 28th.


Players with scheduling conflicts who have played with the club should also inform their current coach, in the event they are unable to attend one, or both tryout dates for any age group.

 

U16-U18 players unable to attend a USSDA Open Training Session/trial or USSDA tryouts, should contact USSDA Director and U16-U18 Head Coach Ben Shepherd at ben.shepherd@fcmilwaukee.org. U14 players unable to attend USSDA/NPL tryouts should contact U14 Head Coach Billy Solberg at billy.solberg@fcmilwaukee.org.

 

In what leagues/competitions will FC Milwaukee U11-U18 Girls participate?

How do girls players interested in competing in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) tryout?

In what leagues will FC Wisconsin U11-U18 boys and girls teams participate?

 

U11-U12 boys teams will participate in WYSA leagues appropriate to their level of competition

U13-U18 boys teams will be formed to participate in both US Club Soccer's National Premier League/Midwest Developmental League (NPL/MDL) and Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association's newly formed Wisconsin Development Academy (WDA).

 

How will boys teams be formed to compete in the NPL/MDL and WDA?

US Club Soccer allows NPL/MDL teams to be formed by calendar birth year (Jan1-Dec 31). WYSA/WDAteams are formed by school year (Aug 1st-July 31). FC Milwaukee will form teams for the NPL based on talent and age, and volume of players; WDA/State Cup competing teams will be formed to supplement developmental opportunities through match play. Players may be dual rostered to provide more match play opportunities.

 

How many teams will FC Wisconsin form per age group?

 

Between the 3 programs (FC Wisconsin Nationals, FC Wisconsin and FC Wisconsin Eclipse) no fewer than 3 teams, possibly more.

 

At what age should my daughter or son try-out?

 

Att USSDA and NPL/MDL tryouts, players should tryout at their age based on the Jan 1- Dec 31 birth date cut off. For USYS/WYSA league play, your player should try-out based on their age based on Aug1-July 31 birth date cut off. FC Wisconsin's Coaching Staff will select rosters for NPL/MDL leagues based on age and talent. In other words, some players may play up on NPL/MDL teams and/or WYSA teams.
