May 23, 2013, (Germantown,WI)-Elite soccer players have technical skills and superior fitness.  Players with one skill set and not the other will never break the barrier between being good and being great.

The Elite Soccer Athletic Performance Training Camp (Elite Camp) is designed to push soccer athletes to their greatest potential as they refine technique and increase fitness levels while motivating each other as they train side-by-side. The Elite Camp is a 6-week, comprehensive, off-season speed, agility, strength and conditioning program. Workouts are scientifically designed to maximize soccer performance and to decrease the risk of injury.

Coulmbus and Cleveland, OHIO (Weekend of 5/18/13-5/19/13)-FC Milwaukee US Soccer Development Academy teams travelled to Ohio this weekend with two sets of matches in Ohio.  Saturday’s games pitted FCMN’s USSDA squads against the Columbus Crew Academy. Sunday’s matches were versus the Internationals of Cleveland.

Against the Crew, the U18s fell behind in the first half, but responded shortly after to level the score-line.  In the 13th minute, Emilio Lopez (FC Milwaukee 1st year/Madison FC) won back possession and was able to pick out Adam Pohlman’s (FC Milwaukee 1st year/FC Magic) run and Pohlman slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.  FC Milwaukee continued to create chances, but the Crew were stronger throughout and scored two goals in the last 10 minutes to finish the game off in their favor 4-1.

The U16s started off a bit more brightly, in their match against Crew.  In the 12th minute, Nick Moon (FC Milwaukee since U10) was put in on goal and slotted past the goalkeeper with ease.  In the 20th minute, the lead doubled when Keoni Bailey (FC Milwaukee 1st year, Oshkosh United) won a tackle and picked out Marcus McCrary (FC Milwaukee 1st year/Madison FC) on the wing.  McCrary slipped a pass into Reed Stevenson (FC Milwaukee 1st year/Green Bay Lightning), who was able to turn his defender inside out and slipped his shot past the goalkeeper.

May 5, 2013 - Adding to the new and expanding coaching leadership for FC Wisconsin, Kevin Brennan will join the club as the Youth Development Director for the 2013-2014 season. Brennan is the Head Men’s and Women’s Coach at Cardinal Stritch University, and in his first year led the program to its most successful year ever. Brennan also led the 1996 Wisconsin USYS ODP Boys to the USYS ODP National Championships in 2012. Most recently, Brennan was a staff coach at Bavarians Soccer Club.

As Youth Development Director, Brennan will support curriculum development and implementation at U6 – U12, with both boys and girls, and will provide coaching support to coaches in these age groups. In addition, Brennan will help manage internal coaching development and education programming for all age groups. Brennan will also serve as a part-time trainer in the US Soccer Development Academy and Elite Clubs National League – providing a connection from the youngest players to the oldest.

Exciting news for the FC Wisconsin Girls soccer program!
May 05 2013 - FCMN Exec Cmte of BOD

May 5th, 2013 - We are pleased to announce that Jake Provan has renewed his commitment to the FC Wisconsin Nationals. Jake will continue to coach several teams in our girls program and will become an integral leader in our new soccer school. Jake also brings a wealth of business experience, so he will be charged with attracting new sponsorships and business associations.

Jake Provan has received job offers from several other soccer clubs and has only been with us a few short months, so when we asked him why he chose to commit himself long-term to FC Wisconsin, here is what he shared with us, “I’m excited about the club’s long-term vision and commitment to player development, from the very young to the ECNL and USSDA Academy levels. I’m proud to be part of it! I look forward to assisting the club in its player’s development and contributing to the club’s vision.”
FC Milwaukee Announces New Staff, New Brand and New Structure!
Apr 21 2013 - FCMN Exec Cmte of BOD

April 21, 2013- In exciting and unprecedented moves to create a vastly improved soccer experience for Wisconsin players, FC Milwaukee is hiring multiple new staff, launching a new brand, and changing its curriculum and structure for the 2013-2014 season.

The impetus for change began through meetings over the past several weeks between FC Milwaukee Nationals and Sockers FC – Wisconsin regarding a potential merger. Over the course of both internal and joint discussions regarding vision, goals, and organizational structures, it became clear that the clubs were not in alignment, and a merger would be impractical.  These internal discussions, however, were tremendously valuable in clarifying and focusing the long-term vision and goals of FC Milwaukee. Through this process, the club has determined to reaffirm its commitment to excellence at youth soccer’s highest levels, refocus its emphasis on individual player development, and modernize its curriculum with a new staff, a new brand, and a new coaching structure.
